In all civilizations the gods, the fathers of the gods, creators of the world and the Sky-whose eyes were the sun and the moon - appeared in the form of a bull or were accompanied by bulls. In fact, some gods were depicted with bull horns-an iconographic tradition that was preserved until the Christian period. The gods who protected farm animals such as Mars or the corresponding Mars of the Romans, wore helmets with bull horns.
